The Breast Cancer Prevention & Community Research Group is an initiative of the Breast Cancer Research & Education Fund (BCREF), ON.  BCREF is a charitable voluntary sector, community-based organization which initially began as a support group for women living with breast cancer in 1991.

Our mandate is to provide women living with and beyond breast cancer with informational and support resources. The foundation of our work is to further the understanding of breast cancer, particularly the connection between environment and health. Built on a public interest research model, BCREF seeks to affect social change through research, education and action.

BCREF provides many community-based educational events and resources on breast health, breast cancer prevention, and recurrence prevention.
